About
Welcome to Mikado Sushi Estella Place [미카도스ቋᅵ 에스텔라], an alluring destination for sushi enthusiasts nestled at 88 Song Hanh, An Phu, Thu Đuc, Ho Chi Minh. This quaint sushi train restaurant introduces vibrant flavors and a fusion of culinary traditions that will tantalize your taste buds.
At Mikado, you can expect a delightful dining experience where freshness takes center stage. Customers appreciate the attention to detail, especially how each dish is served on covered plates, ensuring everything remains clean and pristine. The reviews consistently highlight the freshness of the ingredients and the warmth of the dishes, coupled with exceptional customer service that makes every visit memorable.
One recurring theme in customer feedback is the restaurant's welcoming atmosphere. The friendly staff adds a personal touch, making you feel right at home. Many reviewers, like Mina Kang, express their satisfaction with the overall dining experience, noting the great value for money. Dishes like the fatty tuna belly and squid receive high praise, showcasing the quality of sushi available on their unique kaiten conveyor belt.
However, while there are standout dishes such as the tuna and squid, some diners, including Van Tran, suggest that certain items may require improvement. Not all of the sushi offers the same level of taste and freshness, with some experiencing a bit of inconsistency. This feedback speaks to the importance of prioritizing quality, especially in a competitive market where sushi is both a craft and a passion.
What truly sets Mikado apart is its innovative approach to sushi dining in Vietnam—a market where kaiten sushi is still burgeoning. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that blends traditional Japanese techniques with Korean influences, as noted by customers like Jason Ma. The restaurant offers a decent selection at reasonable prices, making it accessible without compromising on good service and atmosphere.

“ Delicious! My parents and I came here for lunch, and we had a great time We absolutely love how fresh and clean everything is — especially how all the plates are covered! All the dishes are also well-seasoned and warm. Given the price point, we have no complaints The customer service is amazing, and we were very well taken care of by the servers and the chef. ”
“ Very good food. Service is fast and friendly, there is free water available. Nice view looking out onto the street infront of Estella. ”
“ I love Kaiten sushi. There are so few in Vietnam and Mikado seems like a reputable shop. The price is certainly affordable. The best bite was the fatty tuna belly. The squid was good. Salmon was ok. The rest of the dishes… leaves much to be desired. Tuna sashimi was still very cold from being frozen. You can tell some dish has been around the conveyor belt for a while. Since there is not that much variety of fish, it is normal. Got a stomachache right after i ate and even after i went home. Service is quick and to the point. ”
“ Although it is a common thing to have sushi trains in other Asian countries, it is still new in Vietnam. Taste and service are good. Price is ok. About 30k including VAT. You can order your favorites directly to the waiter. It’s a great value. However depending on your budget and preferences, it is better to prioritize quality over quantity in my opinion. ”
“ The food is decent; the atmosphere was good, not too crowded and the staff was very nice. Though it is Korean fusion so you’ll see a lot of onions. ”
“ Good food. Nice disolay, nice environment. Food go out quickly. Free water, free miso soup. ”
“ For something quick, this place would do. Not the best but not the worst. It’s aight (tuna belly cut was pretty decent actually. The rice on the other hand, slightly bland) ”
